226. Power of State Government to make/Model regulations.
(1)The State Government may, subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder and after previous publication, make model regulations or model bye-laws for the Panchyats.(2)A Panchayat may by resolution adopt the model regulations or model bye- laws made under sub-section (1) and regulations or bye-laws so adopted shall come into force from such date as the Panchayat concerned may specify in the resolution.
