Section 258(1) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(1)Each Registrar shall keep or cause to be kept in such forms as may from time to time be approved by the Director of Public Health for Government, separate registers of births and deaths and shall record therein all births and deaths taking place in the Municipal area.
