Section 39(5) in THE COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1986
(5)No Statute passed by the Syndicate shall havevalidity until assented to by the Chancellor and it shall comeinto force on the date of its publication in the Gazette or suchother date as the Chancellor may fix.
