Section 2(10)(c) in The U.P. Co-operative Societies Rules, 1968

(c)[ Agricultural society means a cooperative society majority of the ordinary members whereof are engaged in agricultural occupation and Primary Co-operative Credit Society/Primary Agricultural Credit Society means a co-operative society ordinary membership whereof is not open to any other co-operative society and majority of ordinary members whereof are engaged in agricultural occupation and its primary object is to lend money to its members and raising of funds therefor.
