FACTS
Vide RTI dt 20.6.12, appellant had sought a clarification as to whether the PGDM 2 year course, done during 1996-98 or 1997-99 from Priyadarshni Institute of Management and Sciences, Jammu is equivalent to MBA or not.
2. PIO vide letter dt 10.7.12, informed appellant that the list of institutions whose PGDM has been recognized by AIU is available on their website.
3. An appeal was filed on 18.7.12.
4. Submissions made by the appellant and public authority were heard. PIO submitted that in response to the appeal, a response was provided on behalf of the AA vide letter dt 8.8.12 wherein it was informed that the Priyadarshni Institute has not been accorded equivalence by AIU. Copy submitted to the Commission and taken on record. In the absence of the appellant, her views could not be ascertained.
DECISION
5. The Commission finds that the information sought has been provided.
