Section 20(1) in Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965
(1)(a)The term of office of elected members shall, save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, be five years from the date appointed by the election authority for the first meeting of the Council;x x x(b)An ex-officio member shall hold office so long as he continues to be the member of the Legislative Assembly of the State or as the case may be, of the House of the People.
