21. State Government may appoint Embankment Committee. -
The [State Government] [Words substituted by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937 and the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950, respectively.] may, if [it] [Word substituted by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937.] think fit, appoint an Embankment Committee for any district, and may from time to time appoint and accept the resignation of the members of such Committee, and direct that any person shall cease to be a member thereof.
