Section 9(2)(ii) in Professional Diploma Courses (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2008

(ii)the supernumerary seats not exceeding five percent of sanctioned intake of the colleges or institutions shall be filled on the basis of merit of the candidate, the annual income of whose parents is less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs from all sources of income.
