Facts:
1. The appeal was scheduled for hearing on 25/06/2009, but the appellant did not avail of this opportunity. The appeal is therefore examined on merit.
2. On perusal of the document submitted by the appellant, it is observed that the respondent has refused to provide the information u/s 11 (1) of the Act on the ground that the third party has not allowed disclosure of the requested information.
3. In his appeal before the Commission, the appellant has stated that the requested information pertain to the respondent and therefore the denial of information is unjustified.
Decision:
4. The appellant has neither responded to the notice for hearing nor he has indicated as to what is the public interest in disclosure of the information. More importantly, the appellant has not specified the required information as per If you don't ask, you don't get - Mahatma Gandhi 1 section 2 (f) of the Act. Nor he has made any request to seek inspection of records to identify the required information. This appeal is considered unnecessary and is thus disposed of.
