(11)In the event of the occurrence of vacancy in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, by reasons of death, resignation or otherwise, the Chancellor may appoint any person to act as Vice-Chancellor until regular appointment of Vice-Chancellor is made in accordance with section 9 :Provided that the period of such interim arrangement shall not exceed six months.
