Section 2(d) in The National Rural Employment Guarantee (Central Council) Rules, 2006
(d)"District Panchayat" means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-Government constituted under article 243-B of the Constitution, for the rural areas at the district levels in accordance with the provisions of Part IX of the Constitution;
