(b)[ in the case of a post other than a post referred to in clause (a), the maximum of the pay scale of which exceeds such amount as the Central Government may, from time to time, by order fix in this behalf, or where no such amount has been fixed, is not less than one thousand rupees, be exercisable by the Board with the previous sanction of the Central Government; [Substituted by Act 29 of 1974, Section 12, for Section 27 (w.e.f. 1.2.1975). ]
