The present special leave petition arises out of dismissal of application seeking bail in connection with an offence punishable under Section 8 read with Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

However, considering the fact that the petitioner has been in custody since 11th September 2018 and the Trial has also begun (according to the learned counsel, 3 witnesses out of 21 witnesses have already been examined), we direct the Trial Court to complete the proceedings as early as possible and preferably within six months from today.

With the aforesaid observations, the special leave petition is dismissed.

Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
