Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of certiorari to call for the records of the respondent pertaining to his impugned notice of disconnection dated 28.01.2016 passed in No.09/121/00929/000 and quash the same.

Heard Mr.V.Anand, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Jothikumar, learned counsel accepting for the respondent.
2.The petitioner is aggrieved by the demand issued by the respondent, demanding revision of water and sewerage charges with retrospective effect from first half of 1993 to second half of 2015.
3.As against the impugned demand, the petitioner has an effective alternate remedy of appeal before the Tribunal, which has been created under the Act. Therefore, the petitioner should move the said Tribunal. For such purpose, the petitioner is granted two weeks from today and till then the Water and Sewerage connection shall not be disconnected.
The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
