Section 494(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)The finger-print slips of persons taken under regulation 493 (a) shall also be sent direct for search (i) to the bureau of the province of which the persons are alleged, or are suspected to be, residents and (ii) to the bureau or bureaux of the province or provinces where their operations are believed to extend.
