Section 13(3) in Gujarat Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1971
(3)In any other case, a Government servant shall not accept or permit any member of his family or any other person acting on his behalf to accept any gift without the sanction of the Government if the value thereof exceeds -(i)Rs. 1,500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred) in case of a Government servant holding any Class I or Class II post ; and(ii)Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred) in the case of a Government servant holding any Class III or Class IV post.]
