Section 11(ii) in The U.P. Judicial Service Rules, 2001
(ii)'Legal service' means a candidate who is employed as Law Officer or Legal Advisor or in discharge of his services has to tender legal opinion or advice to the employer or has to appear on behalf of the employer before the courts or tribunals and shall include law teachers of any recognised University, College or Institution.
