(PER : HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE AKIL KURESHI) Petitioners no.2 and 3 had purchased eight shops situated in Surat through auction conducted by the Central Bank of Indiarespondent no.2. They later on sold such properties to the petitioner no.1 who currently holds the same. Surat Municipal Corporation has raised demand of unpaid property tax concerning these properties against the petitioners. Case of the petitioners is that they cannot be made to pay the property tax for the period prior to the date of the sale. NOTICE, returnable on 25.11.2016.
