Section 155(2) in The Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993
(2)A district panchayat may also make provision for carrying out in the area within the limits of its jurisdiction, any other work or measure which is likely to promote,-(a)the health, safety, comfort or convenience and(b)social, economic or cultural well being of the inhabitants of the areas.
