Section 16(1) in Karnataka Command Areas Development Act, 1980
(1)Upon the sanction of the scheme, the Authority may execute the same through such agency as it deems fit :Provided that in the case of land development work as specified in the approved scheme, it may require land holders concerned to intimate the Authority within one month of the notification of the scheme under section 14 whether he decides to carryout the work according to the approved scheme by himself and, if so, his agreement to complete the work within the time as may be fixed by the Authority and he shall also be liable to pay proportionate cost of survey, supervision, and any other amount as may be determined by the Authority.
