Section 12 in The Post Office Savings Certificates Rules, 1960
12. Fresh certificate in lieu of proceeds of old certificate.
- subject to maximum limit prescribed under the rules, if a holder of a certificate who is entitled to encash the certificate (hereinafter referred to in this rule as the old certificate) makes application in Form A for grant of a fresh certificate in lieu of any proceeds of the old certificate, a fresh certificate shall be issued to him and the date of issue of such certificate shall be the same date as the date of maturity of the old certificate.
