81. Powers of Government to make model regulations and bye-laws.
(1)The Government may, subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder and after previous publication of the draft for not less than one month, make model regulations and bye-laws for Zilla Parishads and Gram Panchayats respectively.(2)A Gram Panchayat or a Zilla Parishad may by resolution adopt the model bye-laws or regulations, as the case may be, made under sub-section (1), and such bye-laws and regulations shall come into force within the jurisdiction of the Gram Panchayat or Zilla Parishad from such date as the Gram Panchayat or Zilla Parishad as the case may be, may specify in a notice published in the prescribed manner.
