COMMON ORDER:(Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) The grievance of the petitioners in this batch of cases was that their candidature was not being considered for admission into MBBS/BDS courses during the academic year 2019-20. Some of the petitioners aspired to seats under Category 'A' while others sought admission to seats under Categories 'B' and 'C'. As the petitioners had failed to upload their applications, Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, did not permit them to participate in the counselling for admission. At that stage, these cases came to be filed and interim orders were passed in all the matters directing the University to consider the candidature of the petitioners and allow them to participate in the counselling, in the event they presented themselves before the Registrar of the University along with their original certificates within the time stipulated.
2. We are now informed that these interim orders were given effect to and some of the petitioners have secured admission while others failed.
3. In any event, these writ petitions no longer survive for consideration on merits inasmuch as the last date for admission into MBBS/BDS courses expired on 31.08.2019 for the academic year 2019-20, in terms of the law laid down by the Supreme Court. 3
The writ petitions are accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
