8. Penalty for contravention of section 6.
(1)Any pawn broker or money lender who contravenes the provisions of section 6 shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupee, or with both.(2)An offence punishable under this section shall be cognizable.
