(1)In a case, where confiscation is ordered by the Deputy Commissioner, the Excise Commissioner shall grant in such proportion, as he thinks fit, to any excise officer, who may have contributed to the seizure of the property so confiscated, a reward equal to twenty per cent. of the proceeds of the liquor, animal or vehicle.
