(2)The Government may when deemed necessary post of a Senior Superintendent of Police in a district who will discharge all the functions of a Superintendent of Police in charge of a district:Provided that the State Government may appoint one or more Superintendents of Police in a district under the control and supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police.
