113. Acquisition of land.
(1)Where any land is required for the purpose of this Act and the Panchayat is unable to acquire it by agreement, the State Government may, at the request of the Panchayat and on the recommendation of the Collector proceed to acquire it under the provisions of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (No. 1 of 1894) and on payment by the Panchayat of compensation awarded under that Act, and all other charges incurred by the State Government in connection with the proceedings, the land shall vest in the Panchayat on whose account it has been so acquired.(2)The Panchayat shall not without the previous sanction of the State Government transfer any land which has been acquired under sub-section (1) or divert such land to a purpose other than the purpose for which it has been acquired.
