147. Responsibility for payment of property tax.
- The property tax leviable upon any land or building shall be paid by the owner thereof.Explanation. - For the purpose of this section a tenant of land or building or both, under a lease for any agreed period with a covenant for its renewal thereafter, shall be deemed to be owner thereof.
