Section 116 in The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2000
116. Amendment of section 239.- In section 239 of the principal Act, in sub- section 1,-(a) for clause (b), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-" (b) any other body corporate which is, or has at any relevant time been managed by any person as managing director or as manager, who is, or was, at the relevant time, the managing director or the manager of the company, or";
(b)for clause (d), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-" (d) any person who is or has at any relevant time been the company' s managing director or manager,";(c)for the portion beginning with the words" the inspector shall, subject to the provisions of sub- section (2)" and ending with the words" affairs of the first- mentioned company", the following shall be substituted, namely:-" the inspector shall, subject to the provisions of sub- section (2), have power so to do and shall report on the affairs of the other body corporate or of the managing director or manager, so far as he thinks that the results of his investigation thereof re relevant to the investigation of the affairs of the first- mentioned company.".
