Section 444A(1)(a) in The U.P. Co-operative Societies Rules, 1968

(a)The number of members on the Committee of Management shall be determined according to the Act, Rules and bye-laws of the society. A co-operative society shall elect such number of persons on its Committee of Management as may be provided in the Act, Rules and the bye-laws of the society.
