(3)The officer-in-charge of the Check Post may detain animals for the purpose of inspection, compulsory vaccination and identification/marking etc. for a period not exceeding 12 hours. For every animal vaccinated at the check post, a vaccination certificate shall be given to the animal owner in accordance with Section 9 of the Act.
