Section 416(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)The sadar Court Inspector shall be responsible for the prosecution of all cases at headquarters, and shall assist the Circle Inspectors and Sub-divisional Court officers with advice relating to the prosecution of cases when required by them to do so. He shall conduct prosecutions at subdivisions only when ordered by the Superintendent to do so.
