Section 96 in The Navy (Pay And Allowances) Regulations, 1966

96. Rates-Officers who opt to be governed by the rules in force prior to 1st October, 1959.

- Officers who have opted to be governed by the rules in force prior to the 1st October, 1959, shall receive survey bounty at the rates shown in the following table:

Explanation 1. - An officer must complete a probationary period of 3 months from the date of joining the Survey branch afloat or ashore under training in hydrography before he can be graded as lVth Class Assistant Surveyor.Explanation 2. - An officer who is promoted from one survey class to another during the course of a survey year, shall he eligible for the grant of the bounty at the appropriate rate for the period for which each class is held.
