Name of the Public Authority : CPIO, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Head Office, Harsha Bhawan, E Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi - 110 001.
The Appellant was not present in spite of notice. On behalf of the Respondent, the following were present:

2. In this case, the Appellant had, in his application dated 2 May 2009, requested the CPIO for some information regarding the action taken on a certain letter he had sent on 30 November 1994. The CPIO, in his reply dated 22 May 2009, furnished some information. Not satisfied with the reply of the CPIO, the Appellant preferred an appeal on 26 May 2009. It is not clear if the Appellate Authority had decided the appeal. The Appellant however has preferred a second appeal in the CIC.

3. We heard this case through videoconferencing. The Appellant was not present in spite of notice. The Respondents were present in our chamber. We heard their submissions. Although the CPIO has provided some information, it is not very specific or categorical to the RTI request. The CPIO should clearly state the exact action that the bank had taken on his letter of 1994. Therefore, we direct the CPIO to inform the Appellant within 10 working days from the receipt of this order specifically and categorically about the exact action that the bank had taken on his letter including the copy of the relevant record/file noting, if any.
4. With the above direction, the appeal is disposed off.
5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
