Section 33(1) in Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act, 2000
(1)Every Councillor shall, before taking his seat, make and subscribe at a meeting of the Corporation an oath or affirmation according to the following form, namely:-" I A.B.C. having been elected/nominated as Councillor of the Municipal Corporation of ____________________do swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India and Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir as by law established and that I will faithfully discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter".
