Section 116(3) in West Bengal Municipal (Building) Rules, 2007
(3)The height of the kitchen, measured from the floor to the lowest point of ceiling, shall not be less than 2.75 m (9 ft) :Provided that the maximum height of each floor of any residential building shall be restricted to 3.6 m unless and otherwise specified in the guidelines of National Building Code.
