(i)These rules may be called the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Cultivating Tenants Protection Rules, 1955.(ii)They shall come into force at once;[Provided that in the Shencottah Taluk of the Tirunelveli district they shall come into force on the 6th December 1961 and in the added territories on the 28th October 1964.] [Proviso added by G.O.
