This petition is for bail.

2. Petitioner is the first accused in S.C.No.564 OF 2007 on the file of the Sessions Judge, Thrissur. He is facing trial for offences under Sections 143, 147, 148, 341, 324, 326 and 302 read with 149 of Indian Penal Code.

3. Learned Director General of Prosecution vehemently opposes this petition. It is brought to my notice that the case is at the fag end of the trial. It is submitted that the petitioner tried his level best to protract the trial by filing several petitions. The case was posted for final hearing when a petition was filed for subjecting PW1, PW2, PW5 and first accused to examination like for brain mapping, polygraph test, narco analysis etc. Though this petition was filed at the beginning of the evidence, the petitioner insisted for an order at the time when the case was posted for hearing. The petition was dismissed.

4. Therefore, a petition was filed by petitioner before this Court under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure BA.3214/08 2 challenging the above-mentioned order. The said petition was also dismissed and a direction is issued by this Court to expedite the trial. It is also ordered that the records should be transmitted through a special messenger. This being so, I am satisfied that it is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

This petition is dismissed.
