Section 4(3)(a) in Uttaranchal University Act, 2012

(a)The Headquarter of the University shall be at Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The University can open its additional campus, regional centres, study centres from time to time as per requirement provided the norms of UGC and other statutory bodies are fallowed. The University may open its second campus with in the State after five years with the approval of the State Government. However the University may open additional campus any time in hilly region located at an altitude greater than 2500 feet;
