(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1) or any other provision of this Act, every person who immediately before the date of publication of this Act in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, was a student of Dr. Alagappa Chettair Teachers Training College, Karaikudi, of the Alagappa College of Physical Education, Karaikudi or of any of the institutions specified in the Schedule, shall be admitted to the examinations held or conducted by the Madurai-Kamaraj University, and the corresponding degree, diploma or other academic distinctions of the Madurai-Kamaraj University shall be conferred upon the qualified students on the result of such examinations, by the Madurai-Kamaraj University.
