Section 4(4) in The Chennai Metro Railway (Carriage and Ticket) Rules, 2014
(4)If any official of metro railway has reason to believe that any person is carrying with him, in a container of any form, or otherwise, any dangerous or offensive material, he may cause such container to be opened by its carrier for the purposes of ascertaining its contents.
