Section 243(3) in The Madurai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
(3)No person shall erect or add to any building between a street alignment and a building line prescribed under section 242 except with the permission of the Commissioner, who may when granting permission impose such condition as the standing committee may lay dow n for such cases.
