Section 10A(3) in The Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised) Service Rules, 1982
(3)The appointing authority shall simultaneously request the Board to recommend within one month a list of candidates found suitable for promotion in the order of merit. The Board shall recommend candidates about double the number of vacancies in the order of preference.
