(4)[ The Commissioner, the Special Commissioner, the Additional Commissioner or any other person appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6 may require any authority under the State Government or the Central Government or any of local authority or a statutory body or a trust or any other body corporate to furnish information and to produce documents for the purpose of levy of any tax or collection of any tax imposed by the State or for carrying out any other purposes of the Act.] [Inserted by S. 6(16) of WB Act XIII of 2005 w.e.f. 1.4.2005.]
