Section 60(1) in The M.P. Motor Vehicles Rules, 1994
(1)An officer-in-charge of the police station where the theft of a motor vehicle is reported by the owner or any other person in possession of the vehicle, shall, immediately after the registration of an offence send intimation to the State Transport Authority in Form M.P.M.V.R.-35 (MVT) and send a copy thereof to the Registering Authority where the vehicle is registered.
