Section 27 in The Orissa Muhammedan Marriages and Divorces Registration Act, 1949
27. Repeal and savings.
- (i) The Bengal Muhammedan Marriages and Divorces Registration Act, 1876 (Bengal Act I of 1876) is hereby repealed.(ii)All orders issued, appointments made, licences granted or anything done under the said Act and in force immediately before the commencement of this Act shall continue in force and be deemed to have been issued, made, granted or done under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
