Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.16.2.09 with the CPIO, BSNL, Ambala Cantt. He stated that he had requested for certain information from CGMT, Haryana Circle, Ambala and that he had not received the same. He added that he wants the information in respect of the request that was sent by him vide his letter dt.31.12.08. The CPIO replied on 24.2.09 drawing the attention of the Applicant towards his letter dt.21.1.09 in which he had asked the Applicant to deposit Rs.22/- towards documents sought. He stated that he had not received any response from the Applicant. The Applicant then filed a complaint dt.2.3.09 before CIC stating that he had asked for call details in respect of his mobile No. and that he had not received the information sought in his RTI application.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing for April 30, 2009.
3. Mr.Baldev Singh, deemed PIO represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Respondents stated that the information is ready and that the same would be provided as soon as the Complainant deposits the fees. The Commission, accordingly, advises the Complainant to pay the fees and obtain the information.
8. The appeal is disposed off.
