Section 344 in Rules of the High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan, 1952

344. Custody of material exhibits.

- All material exhibits received in a case shall be examined by and kept incharge of the clerk concerned. He shall enter them in the appropriate register showing the number of the case in which and the Court from which each exhibit has been received. He shall see that all such exhibits are in accordance with the list, if any, on the record of the case. Where no such list exists he shall himself prepare one in duplicate and have it checked and signed by the Superintendent. The duplicate copy of such list shall be sent to the Court from which the exhibits have been received, the original being placed on the record of the case. Any discrepancy in the number or condition of exhibits shall immediately be brought to the notice of the Registrar. Ail valuable exhibits consisting of ornaments, cash or currency notes shall be kept in an iron safe, the key of which shall remain with the Registrar or such officer as he may nominate. All exhibits shall be kept in a locked room.
