(b)"Agriculture" includes the basic and applied sciences of-(i)natural resource management;(ii)soil and water management;(iii)crop improvement and production and protection;(iv)horticulture, that is to say fruits, vegetables, floriculture, spices and medicinal plants and plantation crops;(v)dairy and food science, food technology and animal products technology;(vi)fisheries;(vii)forestry, farm forestry, forest management and silviculture;(viii)agriculture engineering and technology;(ix)post-harvest technology including processing and marketing;(x)land use planning and management;(xi)sericulture including mulberry culture;(xii)apiculture;(xiii)home science;(xiv)agri-business management;(xv)basic sciences and humanities in relation to agriculture; and(xvi)subjects pertaining to agricultural technology and rural development;
