(1)The Academic Council shall consist of the Vice-Chancellor and such other members as may be provided for by the Statutes.(2)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chairperson of the Academic Council.(3)The Academic Council shall be the prirkipal academic body of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules and the Statutes, coordinate and exercise general supervision over the academic policies of the University.(4)The quorum for meetings of the Academic Council shall be such as may be provided for by the Statutes.
